I can relate to that a lot, too. Currently I'm also going through some hard times, and my blog has become a very real emotional lifeline to me. Right now I'm focusing more on my phonographs than on my typewriters, but it's the mere fact of keeping myself busy and intellectually occupied during the long and sleepless nights that has kept me from losing it.
I too find typing to be therapeutic. And as I get older, I find I have less true friendships. Hang in there, Robert, keep typing and I'll keep reading!
Having something to say, and taking time to say it, does bring me some satisfaction when I'm down. Even when no one but me is the reader.Best wishes to you and to birthday boy.
Seems I too can relate. I find it relaxing and a way to set my mind straight by sitting at my typewriter and just typing. Sometimes my typing will reflect what bothers me and other times about better times. Soon I'll be out of the doldrums.Nothing can really beat having even just one good friend. Mine died nearly 40 years ago.
