I can say that sportswriting of 100 years ago is pretty arch, and of a style you simply don't encounter these days. (And I guess it's a matter of one's familiarity with the sport in question -- not a lot of folks here in the U.S. would have a clue what a writeup of a cricket test match is saying.)<br /><br />The Night Stalker was a fun show -- Darren McGavin was great.
