Quite apart from your vast knowledge of typewriters, and ability to pluck facts in an instant, it strikes me that your (perceived) calmness in all this adds to my perception of wisdom. But I don't wish to embarrass you in any way, sorry. You know I have always been a great and genuine admirer.Robert Messengerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04366507489948676594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5248447883714712696.post-13294695235498510332012-11-24T08:55:46.609+11:002012-11-24T08:55:46.609+11:00Thank you Duffy Moon. But I was desperate for something to write about on this day. Wikipedia might be right: Nothing happened! <br />BTW, your words here about the thought process have been echoed in recent days with reactions to the British news story about the end of Brother typewriter manufacturing in Wrexham.Robert Messengerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04366507489948676594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5248447883714712696.post-17599682197396567782012-11-22T02:34:59.541+11:002012-11-22T02:34:59.541+11:00I wince at seeing myself called a "sage,"...I wince at seeing myself called a "sage," but still, thanks for this blast from the past. I did finally finish that book. The manuscript/typescript is a hodgepodge of word-processed, handwritten, and typewritten pages, full of arrows and insertions and cross-outs, which all had to be transformed into a digital file. But I have kept those messy pages in a binder and enjoy the thought that I can go back and see my (confused) thought process, right there on paper.Richard Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16232053429935587826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5248447883714712696.post-79023013509656761802012-11-22T02:01:58.585+11:002012-11-22T02:01:58.585+11:00Love it, Robert. Well done, to both of you.Duffy Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10105074089216551597noreply@blogger.com
