His name was Ted (Edward) Scuse and I remember him going to London and Leicester to the offices. In my parents bedroom, there were several Scheiddeger typewriters ,which as kids we used to take out (when my parents wernt about)and type up a newsletter, which we totally made up! I also remember , years later, we found a letter addressed to him, saying that he had been promoted to a sales manager on the salary of £6000 a year! He worked there for many years and I recall that he was very happy there and often used to talk to us about his meetings with Willy Sheiddeger.

Steve Scuse ads@hotmail.co.ukJohnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10472567373950694703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5248447883714712696.post-88661011882388100852022-11-10T02:04:44.482+11:002022-11-10T02:04:44.482+11:00hi

It was traumatic for a 15 year old as we weren't allowed to speak or stop typing. The clatter of the keys and the ping of 30 or so bells is fixed in my memory. The teacher sat on a podium so she could see us all. We learnt to type very fast without looking at the keys and were timed, mistakes were frowned upon. It was very strict but I went on to work for top surgeons in London and the South.
