The one issue I ran into was that my Dora was manufactured prior to the Valentine so I did not have drilled and tapped holes for the front bar or the back plate/handle. A trip to the hardware store and a $6 drill/tap set, along with a little patience fixed that problem and now I have, what I call, a Valentine/Frankenstein!etiddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07525872866042640213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5248447883714712696.post-44055004356135087192015-06-17T17:48:41.079+10:002015-06-17T17:48:41.079+10:00Outstanding - my favourite model! If you examine your machine closely, you will see that the factory applied contact adhesive when the machine was assembled. I did once see a Lettera 32 that had been made out of a dropped Valentine ! A real 'cut and paste' job, it still had the red carriage cheeks, and SOME of the Valentine's keytops !! Super-cool since it means you can drop a silky early 32 into just about any of those neat later-model shells that normally have a cheap, flimsy power plant in 'em.
