I played with it but never put it to any serious use.

It felt like a toy. Keys jammed often (with hindsight this was probably something that could have been corrected), I often found my fingers somehow jammed between the keys, and found it difficult to maintain the correct curved-finger approach needed for a manual typewriter. More subjectively, it felt like a toy and the Pica typeface looked really ugly to my eye.

I eventually chose to learn to touchtype using an old and battered Imperial model and I threw the Maritsa away / gave it to a charity shop in virtually mint condition. The only thing I really liked about it was its appearance and portability.John Bullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11588155141599919063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5248447883714712696.post-91559588159282832842021-05-16T03:38:35.193+10:002021-05-16T03:38:35.193+10:00Thanks, Robert! The back of the typewriter has a sticker that has Typewriter Works, Bulgaria printed on it. I am desperately trying to find a manual for this machine. Any idea where I might find a manual?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13737845729332999857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5248447883714712696.post-21601192943746201722015-04-06T08:35:59.960+10:002015-04-06T08:35:59.960+10:00I have a mariza with a German keyboard, is there a...I have a mariza with a German keyboard, is there a market for these???Kassishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05420272441328539667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5248447883714712696.post-6532929147925840222015-04-06T08:34:08.573+10:002015-04-06T08:34:08.573+10:00I have a Mariza with a german keyboard. Thanks!

They certainly picked a good typewriter design to adopt; the Princess, in my opinion, is one of the best-built small portables.

One correction: I think "Mapuua" is what Maritsa looks like in Cyrillic cursive.
