Typewriters, Wherever I May Find Them

It's a Japy I came across in the Kasbah in Tangiers in Morocco last year. And yes, folks, those are snails this man is selling. The only thing the snail-seller could tell me about the typewriter is that, "It belongs to the guy upstairs".

If anyone has photographs of typewriters found in really unusual places, please feel free to share them. Send them to me at oz.typewriter@gmail.com

Like snails, typewriters can crawl up a wall. These machines were used by members of the Australian Federal Parliament Press Gallery, and are now in a permanent exhibition at Old Parliament House in Canberra.
