Can you imagine how Buddy Holly felt the first time he laid his hands on a sunburst Fender? Well, if you can do that, you will have some idea of how I felt when I unpacked this sunburst Royal portable typewriter. Oh, boy!
Duane O'Neill in Fender country in California is working on an orange typewriter ribbon for me and this real beauty is screaming out for just such a thing. I'll wait until I hear how Duane gets on before typecasting with the sunburst Royal. Dying to type with it. Sunny days ahead ...

Stunning! That machine is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI saw one of Buddy Holly's acoustic guitars at an exhibit in Indianapolis two weeks ago. Alas, it was not orange, but it had an amazing tooled leather cover. I'll post photos on Google+ when I get a chance.
Mmmm, that's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAs refreshing as a glass of Tang!
ReplyDeleteI love that color. It reminds me of, hmmm...a glass of peach juice! :P
ReplyDeleteSuch a vibrant, and beautiful colour! I love it. Absolutely love it.
ReplyDeleteOoh ahh! I'm sure you'll have no problem extracting some fine sounding music out of that machine
ReplyDeleteRave on...
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant typewriter.
Never mind music. If you squeeze it very, very hard, you'll find yourself with a refreshing glas of orange juice. A great typewriter for a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteMeeeeep!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :D
And almost too yummy.
