Typewriter in the Sky: Why the Skywhale Saga is So Much Hot Air

Skywhale, the frightening sight that will appear in Canberra skies to mark its centenary.
What we should be seeing.
This typecast typed on my US-made Litton Industries Royal Custom (serial number CM7 256906), newly arrived from Tom Kern at The Typewriter Place in McCordsville, Indiana.
Someone thought my idea so good they had it tattooed on their arm!
The Hansen Writing Ball would make a far better model for a hot air balloon. After all, I know people called Hansen who are of Danish descent and live in Canberra. I don't think there is a Mr and Mrs Skywhale.
Ronnie Hubbard thought of it long ago. Scientologist Tom Cruise might even come here and launch the thing!
Switzerland got it right.

  1. Wow, that is one seriously ugly and Daliesque-ly pornographic conveyance. I love it! :D

  2. Well ... it's impossible to ignore, that's for sure! But I agree that a typewriter balloon would be much classier.

  3. Like Richard said - impossible to ignore. I think it would be a hoot to have a few beers with the folks who approved it.
