My typewriter collecting experience is too recent and my brain to small to do other than spin when confronted with the vast knowledge you "old timers" relate regarding the fascinating relationships and descendance of typewriter brands, designs, and models.
But I loved the pictures of Charlie, the guard cat.
I'm sad to say that Nancy shows absolutely no promise in guarding, sleeping or writing on a typewriter. She makes a pretty good laptop in the winter though.
I love that first image. We are on vacation at the moment and I just did my first entries on the Letttera 22. My brain is slowly adjusting to the lack of spell check.
I do not accept anonymous comments. I only allow comments under User IDs provided I know who that person is. Do not ask me to evaluate typewriters. Comments must be relevant to the post. As the author of these posts, I make the decisions about what they contain - it is not open to discussion.
And something tells me that Elliot Electronic Computer has pretty much the same processing power as the Groma Kolibri... XD
ReplyDeleteSome computer error messages that should have been included in the operating systems from the beginning:
"Error 01: Replace user, press any key to continue"
"Error 02: User not accepted. Please replace."
"Error 999: Malfunctioning wetware."
Your typewriter guard cat looks really comfortable there!
Have a great day, Robert!
