Vale Tom Clancy (1947-2013)

Spy thriller writer Tom Clancy died on Tuesday in Baltimore, aged 66. His best-selling books were The Hunt for Red October and Patriot Games, each of which became blockbuster movies. Thomas Leo Clancy Jr wrote technically detailed espionage and military science stories that were set during and in the aftermath of the Cold War. He was born on April 12, 1947, in Baltimore and died at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. Jack Ryan lives on.

  1. Great photo. I was very surprised when I checked one of the news sites after lunch today and the top headline was that Tom Clancy had died. I really liked his books.
