  1. Here in the West most of us were lucky in the respect that we only had 2 consecutive hot days (44 and 41) before it cooled down again - mind you those poor folk in the Perth Hills were not so lucky. :)

  3. All I can say is "Hang in there!" I know how horrible triple-digit(F) days can be. Although, most of us here in SW America are equipped for it. I'm sure it's worse when you're caught by surprise.

    Have you tried making an evaporitive cooler with a fan and damp cheesecloth? You'd be surprised how effective it can be when the humidity is low.
