Corona Typewriter Coin Box Writing Competition Winner
Luke East, a New Zealand historian
and former journalist and political aide from Te Awamutu in the Waikato, has
won our inaugural Corona Typewriter Coin Box Writing Competition, launched back
on October 22 and ending on January 1. The competition was to typewrite no more
than 200 words explaining why you want a Corona typewriter. Informed of his
win, Luke wrote that the competition “brought a really cool piece of historic marketing to life in
a time when we desperately need a form of escape from our modern travails”. Here is the winning entry:
