Typewriter (Basket) Case

Before Typer-Wagen I was taken away to be auctioned off for parts, I decided to make the most of its considerable load area one last time. I made two trips out to Fyshwick to collect typewriter cases that were in storage there and bring them back here.
By the end of the day I was a typewriter collecting "basket case":
Starting to stack up in the garage:
Still waiting  to be taken away from storage:
The second load:
Hey, Ray, I think your Underwood case is in there somewhere!

Whenever I think my collecting is getting crazy, I think of you. And I mean this with the utmost respect! I've learned so much from your excellent posts and you must have so much fun with your typewriters.

The closest I've gotten to a Typer-Wagen was when I moved in my Toyota Tercel, bringing 18 typewriters with me.

Hello Rob,
Fantastic collection of cases! I am sure that each one has a typewriter belonging to it, don't through any away as they represent gold I wish I were there to help with sorting them out.

I meant "throw"

Well, as long as it's cases, and not whole typewriters! I would hate to see you lifting weights with that busted arm.

Poor car!

I'm surprised that you seem to store machines separately from their cases. with the sheer size and variety of your collection, how do you match them up accurately again?

...but seriously, if these are the cases, where are the typewriters that go in them? Some low humidity, temperature controlled bunker? Behind glass I'll bet.

Oh my gawd.

If only stamps were as interesting as typewriters, we could have a more practical hobby ...

Wow... that are a lot of cases... Do need to ask the same question Rob asked. How *do* you store all those typewriters? I always imagined them being boxed and stacked up. But apparently they are not.

It might take some time to sort through to find out if the underwood case is there -that is quite a number of cases.
