This article was submitted to the Imperial News for its spring 1965 edition. It tells the story of an Englishwoman, Elspeth Jarvis, who used an Imperial Good Companion portable typewriter to aid her in her recovery from cerebral thrombosis. Ms Jarvis was a company secretary who suffered a stroke at work which left her partially paralysed. It was caused by a blood
clot that lodged in a blood vessel in her brain.
