Günter Wilhelm Grass (October 16,1927-April 13, 2015) was a German novelist, poet, playwright, illustrator, graphic artist,
sculptor and recipient of the 1999 Nobel Prize in Literature. Grass died of a lung infection on Monday in Lübeck, aged 87.
A great writer; so much imaginative capacity; so good at reworking (for eg) the Grimm tales; and a very committed citizen. And he kept on using his Olivetti till the end :-)

Great pic. These days airport staff just give you and your typewriter case a WTF look.
