What a perfect opening photo, eerily mirrored by your own Bijou.

Please let us know the mechanics: how it's decided who goes next, how we get the installments to you, etc. I assume they'll all be posted on your blog.

I'd like to leave it open to interpretation as much as possible - but you next!!! It would be good to keep the installments together as much as possible. How about emailing me a decent size scan? What do you think would work best? I could post your scan on my blog, yes...

Then, having read your installment (#2), the next person who wants to join in takes up the story, so there's no overlapping ...

Very excited here ... I know how the story pans out in my head, but I'd love to see how others think it should turn out ... Collective creativism!!!

Contributors can write as many installments as they like .. If this works out and we get enough contributors and a good story, I'll publish it as a little novella and send copies to the contributors!

All right, I'll come up with something for the next installment and send it to you. Meanwhile, you have inspired me to change the background on my own blog.

Robert, count me in too. I love the opening and I am sure I could add a little something to whatever Richard forges.

Thank you Ryan, I was hoping you would join in. Yes, please write installment #3.

I hope you and Richard won't feel constrained by the number of words I wrote, that was just a starter

Hopefully it will start to flesh out now ...

Beautiful typewriter.

And what a neat idea! If it weren't pre-tax season I would definitely join! Thanks for starting this!

Very nice! I have just learned of another typewriter and look forward to more on this project. I may join-in if you can stand a real rookie.

Robert Messenger said...

Sure can, Bill, I will pencil you for installment #4!

Now look what you have started. The easiest thing to do (I think) is to invite your selected co-authors to become authors of your blog. They can't break much, just post. Obviously, there's a degree of trust involved. That way you cut down on the handling and scanning. Drop a line if you'd like to but don't know how.
