As always Robert, a very excellent and informative post. Happy Birthday and congratulations on all the posts and followers. I look forward to reading more and birthday 2.

Congratulations! I can't recall whether I found this blog through the Typosphere or Strikethru, but I'm glad I did. Great writing and great machines - thanks for all of the effort. The stories about the larger than life personalities behind the technology are especially appreciated.

I have been amazed at the volume of posts and am happy to read that the typewriter goodness will be measured. I too look forward to the second anniversary.

Congrats on the first year of a great blog, sir! Your advice, through e-mails and your book, "The Magnificent 5", helped me to make some informed decisions when it came to typewriter purchases and for that, I am grateful. Best wishes for (at least) another year of oz.Typewriter blogging!

Indeed, we are certainly reading from Switzerland! Congratulations on your first anniversary, Robert. Your blog is a marvelous resource for the Typosphere and it is a treasure trove of valuable information that I revisit often. I am glad writing about typewriters has also been therapeutic for you.

I agree with Dwayne that the volume of posts is phenomenal, and ever since embarking on my own post-a-day journey this month, I appreciate even more the work you are putting into this!

It has been quite a year. Congratulations! I had a feeling that blogging would suit your skills and interests, and that turned out to be a vast understatement.

I am looking for the best way to save an entire blog as a PDF, which can then be stored easily on a computer and printed for posterity. There are websites that offer to make a professionally printed book from your blog, and apparently they do very nice work, but it is on the expensive side when the blog is this big.

Congratulations! You're doing an incredible job here. I think the whole Typosphere is constantly amazed at what you've been doing. It is sometimes hard to keep up with you!
Looking forward to the next year!

Well done on your first year! Your blog is always enjoyable to read, and will be welcome at any pace of posting, 5 times a day or once a month.

Great work!

I admire and am a bit envious of your productivity. I'm enjoying the blog here in Canada.

Blurb looks like it does a nice job of producing books from blogs. There is a helpful video on their main page. You can sell copies of your book or simply have one printed for yourself.

Robert, when I think of teaching research to Juniors in my English classes and then go to your blog I cannot fathom how accurate, complete, and fast you research. It seems as if in the course of 12 hours you can sift through patents, article databases, and skip with ease over complex connections and synthesize them into cogent and easy-to-understand arguments. Wonderful work. Please, please keep it up!
