Hope you are feeling better. :) The fact that it was an Alpina seems appropriate. I seem to recall the avalanche was predicted in comments related to an earlier post!
Yes, Steve, my memory is a bit fuzzy at the moment, but I suspect you're probably right. I hadn't been cleared headed enough to connect avalanche with Alpina!
Yep. The local would be to blame. That's not uncommon, and sometimes you can get a bit of dizziness a day or so after. General anesthetics often take weeks.
But it shouldn't be any worse than how you feel the morning after a few drinks.

Those head wounds bleed like nothing from even the slightest cut. Many stitches?
Hope you are doing better today.
Fine now thanks, Scott. Three stitches only. Last night and this morning not so OK. Very drowsy when I woke up, maybe local anesthetic?

Dangerous cases. I hope you are doing well.

Mind you, I'd be more inclined to suggest you may have a bit of a concussion.
This might be taking Hemingway's words a little bit oo literally... :)
Yikes! A major Alpine mishap! Sorry to hear about it.
I have been thinking of sending the platen from my similar Alpina off to JJ Short to get recovered. Sooner or later.
